Jordan Banks Memorial Tournament
Jordan was just nine years old when he was tragically killed by a lightning strike as he took part in a football coaching session in Blackpool in May 2021. The kind-hearted youngster was known for leaving sweets on police cars to put a smile on officers’ faces during the pandemic, and voluntarily raised money for good causes.
The Jordan Banks Memorial Tournament #JB7 was being organised by junior football club Clifton Rangers, for whom the youngster played and where he was a popular character. It has been named #JB7 in honour of the number 7 shirt which Jordan made his own during his time with the club.

The Jordan Bank Memorial Tournament is an event that holds deep personal significance for us all at RTC. As proud sponsors, we are honoured to support a cause that not only brings the community together but also celebrates the life and legacy of a remarkable young boy whose spirit continues to inspire. Jordans memory lives on through the passion, unity, and sportsmanship displayed during the tournament, and being part of this event is a heartfelt reminder of the values we hold dear, kindness, resilience, and community. Its more than a sponsorship to us; its attribute to someone who remains very close to our hearts.
