Tower to Tower
RTC were pleased to sponsor ‘Tower to Tower 2’, which was a mammoth 525-mile cycle challenge from Blackpool Tower to Eiffel Tower, raising money for the Aspergillosis Trust.
This was the 10-year anniversary ride, as in 2013, 15 cyclists cycled from Blackpool Tower to the Eiffel Tower, raising over £10,000 for charity.
Aspergillosis is a rare, debilitating and sometimes deadly infection that can attack people of any age.
The term Aspergillosis covers a range of conditions. These are lifelong, fungal lung infections due to the fungus, Aspergillus, which causes allergic reactions. They may also cause lung damage (erosion of lung tissue/cavities), leading to loss of lung function and difficulty breathing.
